Frequently Asked Questions About Mother Jones

How do I renew my current subscription without receiving duplicate issues?

Select the Renew option during checkout and input your existing shipping details as they appear on your current magazine mailing label. The publisher’s circulation system matches your account information and appends the new term directly to the end of your active cycle. No account number is required, and no overlapping issues will be sent. Your extended expiration date will display on your mailing label within 10 to 12 Weeks.

When will my first issue arrive?

Mother Jones is printed 6 times per year. Because orders are batched directly with Mother Jones according to their print press run, your first copy will arrive at your door in approximately 10 to 12 Weeks weeks.

Why did I receive a renewal notice or bill in the postal mail?

Publishers and third-party direct mail clearinghouses routinely send automated paper notices up to 16 weeks prior to expiration. If you ordered through Subscribe Renew, your account is fully prepaid. You will never receive legitimate collection bills from us, and any mail solicitations offering automated renewal cycles can be safely recycled.

Do you match lower direct-mail prices?

We offer Mother Jones at $30.99 (13% off standard retail newsstand pricing). If you received a lower authorized print offer by mail, contact our support team with details. Note that heavily discounted publisher mail cards frequently enroll subscribers into mandatory high-rate recurring billing—our rates are always complete, one-time transactions.

How do I change my delivery address or resolve a missed issue?

For orders placed through our service, sign in to My Active Subscriptions to update your address immediately. If you experience postal disruptions or a skipped month, notify our team to have the missed copies credited and your term extended. For subscriptions originated elsewhere, consult Magazine Subscriber Services.

Where do I find my subscription expiration date?

Locate the mailing label on the front cover of any recent issue. Your expiration month and year are printed on the top line, directly above your name (for example, "DEC 26" indicates December 2026).

Can I order this publication as a gift or exchange it?

Yes. To send this to a recipient, order via Gift Subscriptions. If you ever wish to swap titles after ordering, reach out to our team to request an exchange for an alternate publication within the Learning catalog.

Is Mother Jones available in a digital format?

When digital editions are offered, instructions to access issues via iOS, Android, or desktop arrive via email within 4 to 6 weeks of order validation. Review the order options above to confirm whether digital access is bundled with your print term.
